"I met Erin 13 years ago while we both were students at Virginia Commonwealth University. We had always hung out with the same crowd, but the timing was never right because we were always dating other people. Erin kind of disappeared for a little while while studying for her nursing degree, and in that time I moved to Charlotte to pursue opportunities in national TV. While in Charlotte, I still had photography clients up in Richmond, so a lot of times when I would come to visit, Erin would let me stay at her place. We would always stay up almost until the sun came up playing cards, picking on each other and talking. I loved how genuine she was, and how amazing it would be to be with someone that shared so many common interests. After 3 or 4 years of visits, one night we were playing cards and a friend of Erin's mentioned how "cute" we were because we were extremely flirty with each other. We hadn't realized until that moment how much we actually had been flirting, and the fireworks exploded that night. I moved back up to Richmond, VA to be with her and haven't looked back since. We were engaged pretty quickly after we started dating. I knew she was the one immediately. I just regret it took us so long to figure it out."
"What can I say, he pretty much covered it! Yeah, we actually reconnected after a visit down to Charlotte for a mutual friend's graduation party, and ended up spending the whole night hanging out and laughing-- I single handedly kicked his and Raj's butts at liquor pong... just saying. After that, there were several visits up here to RVA over the course of a couple years, and that fateful night last April is when we kinda laid everything out and decided to make a go of it. I was completely surprised how easy it was, like we were supposed to be together from the beginning. He says he regrets not figuring it out sooner, and we joke about how many kids we would have had by now if we HAD figured it out-- but I for sure know that everything happened the way it was supposed to happen. It was difficult at first during the transition for our mutual friends to get it, but our families were on board from the first time we told them. He asked me to be his wife almost 3 months later (under an old arch in Belle Isle with graffiti all over it haha) and here we are-- a month away from the beginning of the rest of my life with the most amazing, hilarious, handsome, generous, and kind person I've ever met!"
